L. Attorney General for India
Under Article 76 of the Indian Constitution, the Attorney General of India is the highest-ranking law officer in the country. He serves as the chief legal adviser to the government and is appointed by the President of India.
Powers

- Right to be heard in all courts of the country.
- Right to attend meetings of Parliamentary Committees but not to vote.
- He is entitled to the privileges available to a Member of Parliament.

- Provides legal advice to the Government.
- Performs other legal duties assigned to it by the President of India.
- Performs roles assigned to it by the Constitution.
- Appears in Supreme Court hearings on behalf of the Government.
