4.1 Field of Education

Dr. Ram Dayal Munda: Ram Dayal Munda, former Rajya Sabha MP and Vice-Chancellor of Ranchi University, and first President of Tribal and Regional Language Department played an important role in the Jharkhand movement. Munda was the first person nominated for Rajya Sabha from Jharkhand. Indian Government awarded him the Padma Shri Award for Cultural Contribution in the year 2010.

Father Dr. Kamil Bulcke: Dr. Kamil Bulcke is remembered as a pillar of Hindi language literature. He first translated the Bible into Hindi. The English-Hindi word dictionary is one of his popular works. For his remarkable contribution in the field of writing, the Government of India decorated him with ‘Padam-Bhushan’.

** Dr. Manmasih Mundu: Dr. Mundu is the first person who wrote Mundari’s Dictionary “Mundari Dood” (मुंडारी डूड). Prepared the Kodhari (कोढ़ारी). He also received the Sahitya Akademi Award for Mundari Language and Literature for the year 1999. Apart from this, he also composed short M

1. शिक्षा जगत

डॉ. रामदयाल मुंडा: राज्य सभा सांसद एवं रांची विश्वविद्यालय के पूर्व कुलपति, जनजातीय व क्षेत्रीय भाषा विभाग के प्रथम अध्यक्ष रामदयाल मुंडा ने झारखण्ड आन्दोलन में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभायी। झारखण्ड से राज्य सभा लिए मनोनित होने वाले मुंडा पहले व्यक्ति हैं। भारत सरकार इन्हें वर्ष 2010 में सांस्कृतिक योगदान हेतु पद्मश्री अवार्ड से नवाजा. 

फादर डॉ. कामिल बुल्के: डॉ. कामिल बुल्के हिन्दी भाषा साहित्य के स्तम्भ के रूप में याद किये जाते हैं. इन्होंने बाइबिल का हिन्दी में सर्वप्रथम अनुवाद किया. ‘अंग्रेजी-हिन्दी शब्द कोश’ उनकी एक लोकप्रिय कृति है. लेखन के क्षेत्र में उनके उल्लेखनीय योगदान के लिए भारत सरकार ने ‘पदम-भूषण’ से उन्हें अलंकृत किया.

डॉ. मनमसीह मुंडू: डॉ. मूंडू ऐसे पहले व्यक्ति हैं, जिन्होंने मुंडारी का शब्दकोश मुंडारी डूड. कोढ़ारी तैयार किया. मुंडारी भाषा एवं साहित्य के लिए वर्ष 1999 का साहित्य अकादमी पुरस्कार भी इन्हें मिला.इसके अलावा इन्होंने संक्षिप्त मुंडारी व्याकरण, मुंडारी – अंग्रेजी-हिन्दी शब्दकोश आदि की भी रचना की।.
