What is BPSC?
Bihar PSC ek constitutional body hai under Article 315 of the Indian Constitution. BPSC ka janm 1949 mein hua after it seperated from the Orissa and Madhya Pradesh commissions. It is mandated to assist the state government in matters of recruitment, transfers and disciplinary actions. At the time of its establishment BPSC headquarters Ranchi mein tha, jo baad mein Patna mein shift kar diya gaya.
At present, the composition of BPSC is Chairperson plus six other members. The current BPSC chairman is Sri Shishir Sinha who was appointed in April 2018.
