Prelims BPSC Mains se pehle screening stage hai. Prelims marks ko final merit list mein consider nahi kiya jaayega.

Prelims Syllabus ke liye kuch important points:

Science and Tech ke questions aise honge ki unhe subject specialisation ki jaroorat nahi hai.
History mein, apko economic, political and social aspects par bhi dhyan dena hoga.
History and Geography mein apko Bihar ki history & geography ki bhi tayari karni hogi.
Geography mein questions social and economic geography of Bihar and India par bhi based honge,including Indian agriculture and use of natural resources.
Under the Indian Economy and Polity, the questions will cover the following topics:
- Indian Political System
- Panchayati Raj
- Community Development
- Planning in India and Bihar
Indian National Movement mein, aapko 19th century ki resurgence, nature & growth of nationalism in India and India’s independence par dhyan dena hoga.Also, Indian National Movement mein Bihar ka role important hai from BPSC exam point of view.

The Hindi paper is only a qualifying paper with minimum passing criteria of 30 marks (out of 100). The marks in Hindi will not be counted for the overall merit.
