It aims to improve rural infrastructure by installing solar street lights in villages and cities.

• Rural villages across all districts of the state.
• solar lights will be installed on the village roads and other important places like school, health center, government buildings, religious places etc.

Benefits & Important Points —

• Installation of 10 Solar lights in each ward of Bihar.
• In rural areas 11,77,080 solar lights will be installed in 1,09,647 wards.
• For proper implementation of the Scheme, Remote Monitoring System (RMS) will be applied.
• A target has been set to install 5 lakh 30 thousand solar street lights in September, 2024.
• Responsibility of conducting a survey in this regard was given to the head of each village.
