1.1 Important Points—

• It was the first budget after the re-elected Modi 3.0 government 18th lok sabha election by june.
• This is the straight seventh budget of Shri Nirmala Sitaraman in July 2024.
• Presented Budget is focused to Four key castes for the vision of ViksitBharat@2024 — Annadata(Farmers), Gareeb(Poor), Yuva(Youth), Women(Mahilayen)
• The Four main theme of the budget – Employment,skill Training, MSME, Middle class
• Pradhanmantri Gareeb kalyan yojna is extended to 5 years for the benefit of more than 80 crore people.
• 24 new branches of SIDBI will be opened  as per the budget 2024-25.
• Inflation is moving towards the 4% target according to budget.
• Target is set to reduce the fiscal deficit by 4.5 % in the year 2025-26.
• Financial support to students for loans up to 10 lakh for Higher education in domestic institutes.
• “Plug and play” industrial park will be developed near 100 urban areas or cities.
• The employer’s contribution limit in NPS is increased to 14% from 10%.
• 400 districts will be digitally surveyed for kharif crops.
• In 5 states, the issuing of new kisan credit provisions has been made.
