1. Bihar Budget Complete Analysis

• The first budget for Bihar was presented in the Bihar Legislative Assembly in 1968-69. 
• Bihar was the first state in India to present a Green Budget1(notes below)   in 2020-21. In this year (2024-25), it was the fifth green budget of the state.
• In the 2024-25 financial year, Bihar saw its largest-ever budget of ₹2.78 lakh crores, surpassing the previous year by ₹16,450 crores. 
• This marks a significant financial milestone for the state, reflecting its growing economic ambitions and development priorities.
• It was the 17th budget of the state of Bihar and the first budget presented by Finance Minister Samrat Chaudhary on February 13, 2024.
