Estimated budget (2025-26)

• Rs. 3,16,895.02 crores (increased by 13.69% from last year).
• Rs. 38,169 crore more than previous year (2024-25).
• It was Rs. 2,78,726 crores in 2024-25.

GSDP

Rs 10.97 lakh crore (10,97,264 crore)

• Annual growth rate is 22%.
• GSDP is Rs.9.76 lakh crores for the year 2024-25.

Expenditures

Rs. 3,16,895 crores.

• Revenue Expenditure is Rs. 2.52 lakh crore.
• Capital Expenditure is Rs. 64894.76 crore.
• Total expenditure (excluding debt repayment) in 2025-26 is targeted at Rs 2,94,075 crore. 
• The maximum portion of the expenditure was allocated to the education department which is Rs. 60,964 crore (19.24% of budget).

Fiscal Deficit

Total Fiscal Deficit is Rs. 32,718.31 crore.

• 2.98% of GSDP.
• Primary deficit is estimated to be Rs. 9704.37 crores.

Receipts

Total Receipt is Rs. 3,17,094.63 crore.

• Revenue Receipt is Estimated at Rs 2,60,831 crore (up by 7% from last year)
  • State own  revenue – Rs. 67,740.57 crore
    • State as tax revenue(from its resources) – Rs. 59,520.00 crore (18.77 %)
    • State non tax revenue – Rs. 8,220.57 crore
  • Grant tax from Central government – Rs. 54,575.02 crore (17.21%).
  • The state’s share in central taxes from the central government in the FY 2024-25 is Rs. 1,38,515.85 crore (43.68 %).
• Capital Receipt is Rs. 56,263.19 crore.
  • Borrowings – Rs. 55,737.79 crore.
  • Recoveries of Loans – Rs. 525.40 crore.

Revenue Surplus

Rs. 8,831.18 crore

• It is calculated by subtracting Revenue Receipt and Revenue Expenditure.
