Electricity Tariff for Agricultural Consumers

  • electricity is being supplied to agricultural consumers at a highly subsidized rate of Rs 0.70 per unit.
  • The remaining amount of Rs. 6.19 per unit is being provided by the state government as subsidy.

To provide subsidies to power consumers, the state government has sanctioned Rs 13,114 crore in 2023-24, which has now increased to Rs 15,343 crore in the current financial year.

Benefits & Important Points –
