Economic Growth rate

• The economic growth rate of the state for the year 2022-23 is estimated at 9.7 percent. 
• The Indian economy grew at a rate of 7.2%. Hence, Bihar’s growth rate was 3.4% points higher compared to the Indian economy in the year 2022-23.

• Growth Rate of per Capita income is 13.9% high from last year.

 Real —

• Estimated Per Capita Income for 2022-23 = Rs.35,119 & hence the growth rate = 9.07 %.
• Per capita income of entire India increased by 6.3%.

Expenditure

• Total Expenditure is 2.32 lakh crore.
• Total Expenditure has increased by 20.1%.
• Revenue Expenditure is Rs. 1.84 lakh crore (79.3% of Total Expenditure)

• The growth rate of the secondary sector of Bihar in FY 2022-23 at constant (2011-12) prices is 6.8%.
• The construction,  transport, communication, trade and hotel sectors, overall contributed 37 percent share in the Bihar economy.

• • These sectors increased by 2 percentage points in Bihar during 2022-23.
